Children International Philippines, Inc. A New Friends of the SJP2CD Library

Children International Philippines, Inc. (CIP) through the partnership of Kasilak Development Foundation, Inc., Dole-Stanfilco and through the cooperation of DCNHS Batch 1987 donated hundreds of books.

In the very set day on January 25, 2018, the St. John Paul II College of Davao, with the presence of Dr. Mary Liza Jane N. Gallardo, a Dentist and member of Batch 1987 alumni of Davao City National High School with the College Librarian, Mr. Rodrigo Sumuob, Jr., a Registered Librarian and his student assistant, Mr. Michael John M. Mabilog in this institution was headed on a mission to DOLE building, Belisario Heights, Lanang, Davao City. To see first hand the thousands of books to be donated over many institutions in the Island of Mindanao, specifically the Davao Region and including the SJPIICD as one of their beneficiary by the Children International Philippines through the partnership of Kasilak Development Foundation, Inc., Dole-Stanfilco and through the cooperation of DCNHS Batch 1987.


Children International Philippines is a non-profit organization that works to eradicate poverty through diverse programs that provide youth access to educational support that empower them to create lasting and positive changes in their communities. The donation of various learning materials can be used as references and supplementary instructional materials, especially in educating the SJPIICD students. Therefore, thousands of books were arranged and distributed to every school that participated in the said activity. Loading various tons of books for their respective institution.

There were teachers, staff and especially students from different sectors wherein they were enjoyed and amazed by the bunch of books they could read before their very eyes and a whole more to learn after those books will be placed in their respective school who had chosen those reading materials. Getting the attention of everyone, the Executive Director of Kasilak Development Foundation, Mr. Joemil S. Montebon and his colleagues gives an inspirational and remarkable speech to share how they made this project happened and for how they wanted their mission and vision possible –a community where children learn satisfactorily and gain the social needs it requires in the environment its living a sustainable and ecologically balanced environment based.


Truly, the dedication they made were growing & growing, proven to build more and more quality service and integrated approach for every learner. Furthermore, the shipment of books are finalized to transport, SJPIICD gives a certificate of acknowledgement in behalf of the institution as gratitude before leaving, in return for the utmost generosity for having as one among many chosen school to receive a bundles of books and to return carrying the new reading materials, new hopes, and new learning discovery of another exploration to sail.
